wao, how cute. i loved the masjid cake, the book cake, infact these were islamic cakes......... very cool. infact pakistan cake was also very appealing!

Here are some other creations. I understand what you mean sister Azra. I think I would be okay with a design like the following one; but a 3D cake of the Holy Kabah, I don't think I'd like to cut it.:shakehead:

I think some of the cakes are made from icing sugar only like the masjid ones. They are definitely edible because in Bangalore there is a cake exhibition held every year and they create all kinds of shapes like monuments and animals and once I remember saying it aloud that it looks like cardboard and not cake and the guy at the counter broke a piece off the cake and gave it to me to show that it's real!

i'm sure they're edible but i just wouldn't have the heart to cut up a beautiful masjid cake and eat it!
