what cursed day 1st safar is really, the day which was so tough for Sayyada Zainab s.a and Ahlul Bait (a.s.), the day when Bibi had to enter court of Yazeed -e-mal300n.

Sisters by the way, i have heard from my elders that 13th safar is also very man7oos day.

May Allah (swt) protect us from the evils of these days.

I haven't heard about 13th Safar. I even checked my calendar now and there was nothing..
Maybe it is, we never know...

My calendar has a lot of those dates. I'll try to look for a hadith like this one though.

That's odd. These are the dates mentioned in this hadith. There are, however, other dates with precautions like don't travel, give sadaqa to prevent evil, etc.

Inshallah ya Rab! I really do wish that for all of you! Wub

Oh sis Kahkashan I know the whole (13 safar) tera tezi is a sub-continent thing. We also give sadqa on this day.

Quote:
Rajab – 11th and 13th

Why???? Isn't 13th Rajab the birth of Imam Ali (a.s.). How can it be manhoos??? Oh My! Also, 4th shabaan is the birth of the 4th Imam (a.s.) in one riwayat.

Jazakallah! , Thank you sister Yasmeen.
Big question but in what way are these days "bad" ?
For example some days it is not haaraam but just bad and not recommended to eat certain things.

Good question. I'm sure sister Yasmeen can enlighten us.

The only reference I've heard being made to these days is when people are choosing the days to get married. I know people are advised to avoid these particular days when performing nikah. I've actually even heard of certain times of certain days which are not recommended. I believe these days make reference to the days when the moon is passing through the phase of Scorpio and the reference is made in ahadith as 'qamar dar akrab'. In my calendar, these days are marked with a crescent with a scorpion in the middle Unsure

Oh Really? That's sad. I guess marriage is such an important step in our lives that's why we need to look for the best time to conduct it. After all, in our lives, we don't chose the time of birth or death, so this is the time we get to choose, and we should choose it wisely. Smile
