Eight Salutations on Imam Hussain

Did you know that there are eight different salutations or ziyaraat of Imam Hussain (a.s.) which are recommended to be recited on different occasions?

The following salutations can be found in Mafatihul Jinan:

1st Salutation: recommended to be recited on the first of Rajab, middle of Rajab and middle of Sha’ban..
2nd Salutation: recommended to be recited on the 15th of Rajab
3rd Salutation: recommended to be recited for the middle of Sha’ban.
4th Salutation: recommended to be recited on the nights of Laylat-ul-Qadr.
5th Salutation: recommended to be recited on Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha.
6th Salutation: recommended to be recited on the Day of Arafah.
7th Salutation: recommended to be recited on the Day of Ashura “Ziyarat-e-Ashura”.
8th Salutation: recommended to be recited on 20th of Safar “Ziyarat-e-Arbaeen”.
